Paizeb

Paizeb (or Pahzeb) is a type of traditional anklet worn for adornment for the feet by the women of Hyderabad. Said to have originated in Mesopotamia, paizeb consists of loose chains embellished in meenakari and kundan work.

Paper gold

It refers to the various investment products that are related to gold prices. However, the investor does not gain physical ownership of gold.

Pauji

It is a type of traditional jewellery from Uttarakhand and is basically a gold bracelet worn by the women.

Placer

Placer is a form of mining used for precious metal deposits (particularly gold) and gemstones, found in alluvial deposits, i.e. the deposits which get formed due to the activity of water bodies cutting down large mineral stones.

Polki Jewellery

Polki jewellery is made by beating gold into thin sheets. The sheets are filled with lac and then uncut or rose diamonds are set on it. Polki is also jadau jewellery like kundan. This art form of jewellery makiing reached its peak in the Mughal era. It was originally a speciality of Bikaner and later became famous across the country.

Purity

Purity is the total percentage of gold in the gold item. It is measured in Karat with the higher value signifying higher purity.
